”Scott LaFaro is for me one of the most influential double bass player in the jazz history. Sadly he had a short life and played the bass less than seven years, but he was a phenomenal instrumentalist and a great innovator, re-inventing the role of the bassist in the rhythm section, getting more freedom and more mobile interplay, showing new paths for post-modern music conceptions. We will perform some of his compositions and some of the standards he used to play with his inspired and inspiring colleague and friend, Bill Evans”.
